Description:
Combat Syle: Created for the sole purpose of defending the most heavily guarded of Space Pirate research centers, Meson-Ridley’s combat style is more or less projectile or energy-weapon based. This doesn’t mean that he’s completely inept at close-quarters combat - in fact, it’s quite the opposite. Capable of making lightning-quick strikes with his galvanized talons, Meson-Ridley can literally rip an opponent apart in a matter of minutes.
If an opponent tends to stray too far out of weapon range continuously, Meson-Ridley is equipped with Snare Beam generators, capable of latching onto an opponent and dragging the helpless victim into the waiting clutches of Meson-Ridley.
Armor Type: Meson-Ridley’s armor is actually a combination of numerous alloys. The first, is Hyper-Titanium - an alloy many magnitudes stronger than normal titanium due to an intense polarization process. The second, is Phazonite Alloy - a recent development in Space Pirate R&D. Phazon Ore, when processed in a specific way, turns into a metal of immense durability and defense. Capable of absorbing some attacks, and completely reflecting others, the vast quantity of Phazon Ore required to create this metal is a small price to pay for it’s incredible durability. Hyper-Titanium provides resistance to explosive and projectile weaponry, while Phazonite provides protection against energy weapons and melee attacks.
The only drawbacks is that Hyper-Titanium is immensely weak to concentrated cryogenic blasts, and Phazonite can be disrupted by high-level radioactive plasma blasts.
Armaments:
- Multi-Missile Launchers: Multiple salvos of missiles are fired from launchers concealed within shoulder area.
- Meson Bombs: Large explosive devices that give off an intense blast of superheated plasma upon detonation. Launcher located within back.
- Kinetic Beam Weapon: High-Yield particle beam fired from emplacement in mouth.
- Ultrathermal Flamestrike Projector: Chest panels open up to reveal this weapon in chest cavity. Weapon itself is a devastating blast of plasma.
- Photonic Seeker Grenades: Self-propelled grenades which explode into bursts of Photonic energy, effectively giving the foe a minor electrocution. Launchers located upon forearms.
- Snare Beam Projectors: Similar to grapple cables, these beams take hold of an enemy and attempt to reel them in for more close range attacks. Projectors are located within the abdominal area, just below the pectoral muscles.
- Cryo-Blast Cannon: Fires a single cohesive shot of Cryogenic energy in an attempt to freeze the foe temporarily. Located beneath the Ultrathermal Flamestrike Projector in the chest cavity.
- Magnetic Pulse Rockets: Small short-range rockets, which deliver an electromagnetic shock to the foe, stunning them for short periods of time. Launchers located in panels on thighs. Highly effective against mechanical beings.
- Galvanized Fore & Hind Talons: Talons upon forearms and hind legs have been galvanized for maximum armor penetration. The tail-tip has also been given the same treatment.
Special Equipment:
- Multi-Purpose Military Grade Scanner: Allows quick and easy access to enemy info, such as muscle mass, body temperature, etc. Also used to rip data from computer terminals.
- Neutronic Particle Shielding: A dense shield matrix used to absorb/deflect energy weapons. Also capable of neutralizing the effects of EMP weapons.
- Sub-Light Ion Boosters: Provides thrust to Meson-Ridley, allowing him to reach speeds in excess of Mach II.
- Weaponry Assimilation Matrix: An ingenious little piece of technology, this device allows Meson-Ridley to assimilate mechanical weaponry into his system, integrating it into the armory of weapons at his disposal.
Origin/History: Shortly after the destruction of the Space Pirate Research Base on Tallon IV, all Phazon related projects were diverted to resurrect the broken form of Meson-Ridley. Hell-bent on revenge, the Space Pirates stripped their decimated command centers and research labs of parts and weapons, sacrificing them for what would have been the ultimate hunter to ‘The Hunter’. Unfortunately, the Space Pirates’ plans did not go as they had wished - shortly after being rebooted, Meson-Ridley broke free of his constraints, destroying the Manufacture Bay he had been contained in, and fled to the far reaches of space. It was here where he cruised for years, until finally reaching an uncharted nine planet solar system. Detecting radio waves coming from the third planet from the star Sol, Meson-Ridley altered his course for this planet - the protocols of ‘Conquer and Assimilate’ still embedded in his cybernetic mind.
